QS Honoring Al Ain University as one of the top 100 Arab universities

Under the patronage of HE Dr. Ahmad Bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills, QS organized a celebratory evening reception to launch the 2020 QS Arab Region University Rankings, Where Al Ain University has been honored for the third consecutive year.

This edition features 130 leading universities in the region, where there are around 1200 higher education institutions across 16 countries from the Arab region. Therefore, this ranking features the elite top 10% of such universities and higher education institutions.

The QS Arab Regional Ranking, evaluates universities based on ten indicators: Academic Reputation, Employer reputation, Faculty/Student ratio, International Research Network, Web Impact, Proportion of staff with a PhD, Citations per Paper, Papers per Faculty, Proportion of International Faculty and Proportion of International students.

AAU has been ranked 1st in the “International Faculty” and “Faculty Staff with PhD” indicators, and 2nd in “International Students” indicator. Such results show the high commitment of AAU towards the diversity / internationalization, and the determination in having PhD holders serving its academic programs.

Dr. Noor El Deen Atatreh (AAU chancellor) received the trophy and stressed that AAU will set a plan to improve its QS ranking in the coming years, which will be reflected on the quality of education, the employer reputation and the research outcomes.

For his part, Dr. Nazih Khaddaj Mallat (Director, Quality Assurance and Institutional Research Center) expressed his pride in AAU’s classification among the top Arab universities, stressing that the university will continue to strive for excellence in its academic programs, research, training, and learning.
