Al Ain University at the Academic Water Carnival during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week

Al Ain University participated in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026, reflecting its commitment to engaging with national and international initiatives focused on sustainability and water security. The university’s participation took place through a special session of the UAE Academic Water Carnival, attended by a distinguished group of decision-makers, academics, and experts.

Al Ain University was represented by Professor Mousa Bani Baker, who delivered a presentation emphasizing the importance of integrating artificial intelligence into decentralized water treatment, and the need to shift from a linear model to a circular one. This approach supports the enhancement of water circularity and contributes to achieving the UAE’s 2026 water security targets.

This participation underlines Al Ain University’s strong interest in supporting applied scientific research and specialized initiatives in sustainability. The university is keen to strengthen its academic presence in platforms that connect research with real-world challenges and foster effective partnerships with academic and governmental entities, helping to develop innovative and sustainable solutions that serve society and align with the UAE’s future strategic directions.
