Partnership between Al Ain University (AAU) and Linnaeus University (LNU), Sweden

Al Ain University is proud to participate in the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) programme, a European Union initiative that supports student and staff exchange between Programme and Partner countries. This project facilitates mobility in the fields of Information and Communication Technology and Engineering with our esteemed partner, Linnaeus University (LNU) in Växjö, Sweden.

2.  Available Mobility Opportunities (AAU Outgoing)

The mobility slots are available for outgoing students and staff from Al Ain University to Linnaeus University.

  

3.  Eligibility and Selection Criteria

 

The selection process is designed to be fair, transparent, and documented, ensuring equal opportunities for all eligible participants, with a commitment to promoting inclusion.

 

A.  General Eligibility

 

  • Students: Must be currently enrolled in a relevant study cycle (Bachelor or Master) at AAU in the fields of ICT or Engineering.
  • Language Proficiency: All applicants must demonstrate a minimum recommended level of B2 English proficiency (according to the Common

•European Framework of Reference for Languages - CEFR).

 

B.  Selection Criteria

 

The selection committee will evaluate applications based on the following criteria:

  1. Academic Merit: Cumulative GPA and academic performance (for students).
  2. Motivation: Quality of the motivation letter and the relevance of the proposed study plan or mobility activities.
  3. Feasibility: The extent to which the proposed study plan (Learning Agreement) can be fully recognized by AAU.
  4. Inclusion: Priority may be given to applicants with fewer opportunities, in line with the Erasmus+ Inclusion and Diversity Strategy.

 

4.  Financial Support and Benefits

 

Selected participants will receive an Erasmus+ grant funded by the European Union to cover travel and subsistence costs.

 Details

 Tuition Fees

 Waived. Participants are exempted from paying tuition, registration, examination, or laboratory fees at Linnaeus University.

 Mobility Grant

 A monthly subsistence grant (for students) or a daily subsistence grant (for staff) will be provided.

 Travel Grant

 A fixed amount travel grant will be provided based on the distance between AAU and LNU.

 Payment

 The grant will be paid to the participant, with a first installment provided upon arrival at LNU.

The application process is managed by the AAU International Relations Office (IRO) and the College of Engineering.

  2. Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  3. Academic Transcript of Records.
  4. Motivation Letter (detailing the expected academic/professional benefit).
  5. Proof of English Language Proficiency (B2 level minimum).
  6. Draft Learning Agreement (Students) or Mobility Agreement (Staff).
