Engineering students win the NBD challenge in Artificial Intelligence
A team from the College of Engineering won 3rd prize in the Emirates NBD Open UAE challenge organized by NBD bank and the University of Sharjah. The competition was held at the University of Sharjah and was participated by 16 teams from 9 universities. The participants were required to present their software prototypes to address banking challenges using Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT).
A team of 3 Software Engineering students from AAU, Adnan Iqbal, Zainab Mohammad and Maysoon Ouda, participated in the competition under the supervision of Dr. Saqib Iqbal. The team presented a customized customers’ messaging system using Artificial Intelligence. The system was highly appreciated by the jury of the competition and was awarded 3rd prize and a prize money of AED 2000.
In this context, Prof. Ghaleb Al Refae, AAU President, received the winners in his office, congratulated them and expressed the pride of Al Ain University on what they have achieved, encouraging them to continue in scientific research and innovation and to achieve more successes and achievements.
