A workshop on the Challenges in Engineering Human Tissue
The College of Engineering - Abu Dhabi campus held a seminar entitled “The Challenges in Engineering Human Tissue”. The seminar was presented by Prof. Hala Zreiqat, a professor in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Sydney, Australia, who also won the scientific and technological achievement award by Takreem Awards 2022. The faculty members of the College of Engineering, College of Pharmacy, and College of Business attended the seminar.
As an expression of the university and the college's appreciation of the efforts, Prof. Amer Qasem- Vice President of Al Ain University (Abu Dhabi Campus), presented a certificate of thanks and appreciation for Prof. Hala Zreiqat.
Prof. Hala discussed a new clinical technology that makes possible medical treatments for diseases that is too difficult to be cured by existing methods. As well as, how to avoid ambiguous descriptions and broad bibliographical surveys, and attention was given to suggestions of various challenges associated with tissue engineering that typically involve interdisciplinary science and technology ranging from biology to engineering.
