College of Engineering programs obtain the International Accreditation (ABET)
The College of Engineering programs ("B.Sc. in Networks & Communication Engineering", and "B.Sc. in Software Engineering") obtained an International Accreditation from (ABET) in the United States. This accreditation comes in a culmination of the efforts and the hard work of the college and university's staff, which represents an important and unique achievement in order to improve the academic programs and the education quality.
For his part, Dr. Noor El Deen Atatreh –AAU Chancellor- congratulated the Deanship of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, its faculty and administrative members, and the students on the occasion of obtaining this accreditation, which has significant importance for the College to achieve the international accreditation standards which focus on the quality of the outputs of the programs in the College of Engineering and Information Technology offered by the University.
He also provided special thanks for His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi- for the efforts, insightful vision, and the continued support which has been provided by the Ministry of Education - Higher Education Affairs, towards the university in addition to other higher educational institutions in UAE which were represented by His Excellency Dr. Al Falasi and all of the ministry departments and sections.
On behalf of all employees at the College of Engineering and IT, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae –AAU President- thanked all the strategic partners who worked with the University in achieving this accreditation which has several dimensions. The first dimension is based on the faculty which enables them to work through the international accreditation and the second dimension is helping the students to continue their higher education and to increase the employment opportunities.
On the other hand, Dr. Nazih Khaddaj Mallat –Dean of the College of Engineering- has expressed his pride and his delight when obtaining the international accreditation (ABET) for the College, He considered it the most important achievement of the college for the year 2015-2016, which puts the college in a high rank among the other colleges which offers the same specifications and global quality which is matching with the world standards.
He also stressed the keenness of Al Ain University to develop the College of Engineering and Information Technology by attracting highly efficient academic members, in addition to providing all the support which would raise the college and the university.
Finally, he added that this achievement was the result of collective work for the management, the presidency of the university, and the college.
