Al Ain University participates in the “Walk of Tolerance” to celebrate the UN Day
Al Ain University participated in the “Walk of Tolerance” organized by the United Nations Country Team in the United Arab Emirates in cooperation with the Ministry of Tolerance to celebrate the UN Day anniversary which entered into the force in 1945.
The event was at the Umm Al Emarat park, Abu Dhabi, aims to highlight the high values of the Year of Tolerance and to raise community awareness of the goals advocated by the Organization, such as the SDGs.
Academic and administrative staffs, and the AAU students participated in the walk. Also, the program included speeches from the Ministry of Tolerance and the United Nations Resident Coordinator for the UAE, followed by the distribution of UN agencies’ materials, and a musical performance.
The University's participation in this initiative came out of its keenness to activate the positive role in the society and contribute to the promotion of, values of tolerance and coexistence.
