More than 50 Researchers hosted by AAU in the ACIT Conference
Al Ain University concluded the 20th International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT) 2019, which was co-organized in cooperation with the IEEE and Colleges of Computing and Information Society (CCIS), with the participation of more than 50 scientists, engineers, and practitioners to present their latest research, results, ideas, developments, and applications in all areas of information technology.
The conference was attended by Prof. Abdulsalam Ghaith, Prof. Emad Abu Elrob, and Prof. Jihad Al Saadi, as representatives of the Academic Accreditation Commission, Prof. Mohammad Amin- Secretary General of CCIS, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae- AAU President, Dr. Qutaibah Al Thebyan- Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Faten Kharbat- Deputy Dean of the College of Engineering, Colleges Deans from AAU and different Arab universities, and academic staff from the College of Engineering.
ACIT 2019, addressed wide range of research papers, workshops and presentations about Information Technology, however, the conference focused on the information technology in Education, Law, Forensics, and legal, advances in Artificial Intelligence, Algorithms, machine Learning and e-learning, advances in software engineering, database systems, data Science, distributed Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), communication systems, e-business, e-commerce, e-marketing, multimedia and computer.
On the sidelines of the conference, the general meeting of the Association of Colleges of Computers and Information was held, which included the deans of the colleges of information technology from Arab universities.
AAU President commented, "Hosting the 20th Arab Conference on Information Technology came in the context of Al Ain University's endeavor to support the activities of the Colleges of Computing and Information Society, emanating from the Association of Arab Universities in a manner that enhances the joint Arab work and promotes scientific research and education, and contributes to the exchange of Arab and international experiences, in the field of information technology. "
Dean of the College of Engineering, said that this conference highlights the most important technological developments in various fields, and hosting the 20th session of the conference came from the AAU’s keenness to keep pace with technological developments that have become an integral part of the surrounding world, besides its constant endeavor to advance the educational process and provide the highest academic and technical standards.
