Primavera Workshop Enhances the Skills of Civil Engineering Students

The Civil Engineering Department at Al Ain University hosted Eng. Deema Darwish from Desert Man Transporting and Contracting, who delivered a specialized workshop for civil engineering students on Primavera P6, one of the leading project management tools in the construction industry.

During the session, Eng. Deema introduced students to the advanced capabilities of the software in planning and managing complex construction projects. She explained how to create project timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress. Students also had the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience by applying the skills in simulated real-world scenarios.

The workshop went beyond technical training, offering valuable industry insights and real-life best practices that enriched the overall learning experience.

The session was conducted as part of the Construction Management course taught by Eng. Esraa Hijah, in line with the department’s goal to enhance the practical dimension of academic content.

This event reflects the Civil Engineering Department’s strong commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry, by equipping students with practical skills and exposure to professional tools. It aligns with the department’s vision of preparing future engineers to lead with competence, innovation, and a clear understanding of market demands.
