AAU Students Secure Top National Honors at the UAE Compiled Hackathon

Students from Al Ain University achieved a top national ranking during their participation in the UAE Compiled Hackathon hosted by the Transpose platform. Team Kanban from the Abu Dhabi campus Awaiz Ahmed, Mohammed Umar, and Bilal Feroz secured third place in the competition, which brought together more than 150 participants from across the United Arab Emirates.

The AAU team was selected as one of only three winning teams from 60 final submissions. Their achievement earned them a cash prize of USD 2,000, in addition to valuable opportunities for mentorship sessions and recommendations from Y Combinator (YC), the renowned Silicon Valley startup accelerator.

The team presented their innovative project, DeedFlow, an AI-powered platform designed to simplify and modernize fractional and tokenized real estate transactions. The system transforms what is often a complex and manual process into a structured digital workflow that ensures regulatory compliance while maintaining a transparent audit trail.

This recognition from leading global startup mentors highlights the strength of the team’s solution and reflects Al Ain University’s commitment to hands-on learning, empowering students to develop innovative solutions and build both technical and entrepreneurial skills in rapidly advancing fields such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and digital innovation.
