Al Ain University Strengthens Its International Presence at QS Africa Forum 2026

Al Ain University (AAU) participated in the QS Africa Forum 2026 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where leading figures, experts, and representatives from higher education institutions gathered to exchange insights on emerging academic trends and explore future opportunities for collaboration and partnership across Africa and beyond.

The university was represented by Dr. Noor Al Deen Atatreh (Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees), and Prof. Nazih Khaddaj Mallat (Vice President-Accreditation and Quality Assurance). Their participation reflects AAU’s commitment to strengthening its presence on international higher education platforms and expanding its academic network with institutions worldwide.

During the forum, Dr. Noor Al Deen Atatreh participated in a panel discussion titled “Partnerships for Impact: Advancing Higher Education Through Collaboration”. The session highlighted the importance of building effective academic partnerships to advance higher education, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and enhance universities’ capacity to create sustainable impact within their communities.

Dr. Noor Al Deen Atatreh said: “At AAU, we believe that international partnerships are no longer an added option, but an essential driver of higher education development and sustainable impact. Through our participation in the QS Africa Forum 2026, we seek to expand collaboration with universities and academic institutions, establish partnerships that support innovation and knowledge exchange, and create new opportunities for students and researchers, further strengthening the university’s international presence and role”.

Prof. Nazih Khaddaj Mallat added: “International higher education forums provide valuable opportunities to benchmark institutional and academic performance against global best practices and gain insights into the latest developments in quality assurance, academic accreditation, and international rankings. AAU remains committed to translating the knowledge and experience gained through these engagements into development initiatives that enhance the quality of its academic programs, institutional effectiveness, and competitiveness at both regional and global levels.

AAU also participated with a dedicated booth in the forum’s exhibition area, showcasing its diverse academic programs, advanced learning environment, and key achievements in academic quality, international accreditation, global rankings, and scientific research.
