Al Ain University Workshop Introduces Students to Python Programming and AI Development
The College of Engineering at Al Ain University organized an interactive workshop titled “ as part of the Super Developer Series. The workshop aimed to introduce students to Python programming and highlight its role in developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications.
The workshop was delivered by Mr. Mohammed Shik, a Software Engineering student at Al Ain University, under the supervision of Eng. Zaid Hadya. The initiative was designed to enhance students’ technical skills, promote hands-on learning, and encourage knowledge sharing among peers.
During the session, participants explored the fundamentals of Python programming, commonly used libraries, and the development of interactive applications. Through practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises using Visual Studio Code (VS Code), students gained valuable experience in programming AI development.
The workshop also provided participants with an opportunity to develop a basic AI application featuring voice-interaction capabilities, demonstrating how Python can be used to build personalized AI assistants. The session welcomed students with different levels of programming experience, ensuring an accessible and engaging learning environment.
Through initiatives such as the Super Developer Series, the College of Engineering continues to promote technical innovation, experiential learning, student-led knowledge sharing, preparing students to explore emerging technologies and future opportunities in Artificial Intelligence and software development.
