Expectations for Research and Scholarly Activity

Conducting excellent high-quality research in Telecommunication, networking and computer engineering evolving areas is essential part of the college’s research strategy. The college provides support for faculty members and imposes requirements to succeed in their research and scholarly activities. Examples of the requirements include that each faculty member is expected to have at least one refereed scholarly work per academic year published in reputable Scopus-indexed journals. In addition, faculty members are given credit for co-authored work. However, there is a clear expectation that the co-authors should have participated and contributed significantly to the production of a given research or scholarly activity. Each faculty member should also have his/her own research agenda which is connected to his/her field of specialty and should be submitted to the dean’s office at the beginning of each academic year.
